Bridge work on Iowa 141 near Hornick set to begin Monday

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Transportation's Sioux City construction office has approved work to begin Monday, March 31 on Iowa 141 over the West Branch of the Little Sioux River east of Hornick.

The project includes placing rip rap along the river's edge to better protect the bridge from possible water damage. Traffic will be maintained through the project.

Peterson Contracting Inc. of Reinbeck is the contractor on the $52,000 project. Completion is scheduled for the end of April.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution and to obey posted signs in the construction area.
