Road work scheduled for Interstate 29 in Mills County
ATLANTIC, Iowa – Sept 4, 2008 – Traffic is expected to be shifted on Interstate 29 in Mills County beginning Monday, Sept. 8, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) District 4 Office in Atlantic.
Patching on Interstate 29 began in late July to prepare the roadway for resurfacing. During the resurfacing phase set to begin Monday, the northbound lanes will be closed and traffic will be shifted in a head-to-head pattern in the southbound lanes of I-29 from milepost 25 to milepost 31. The project is expected to be completed this fall.
Use caution in the work zone. Obey all posted signs. Allow ample space between vehicles, minimize distractions and always wear your seat belt.
