Pothole patching work on I-280 in Davenport today

DAVENPORT, Iowa – May 26, 2009 – Pothole patching work may cause slightly slow traffic on Interstate 280 through Davenport today, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Davenport maintenance office.

 

Crews performing pothole patching on I-280 from I-80 to the Illinois border will be on the roadway until approximately 3 p.m. today. The slow-moving operation may briefly slow traffic in one lane of the interstate in both directions.

 

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
