Culvert replacement to cause detour on Iowa 3 in Delaware County beginning next week
MANCHESTER, Iowa – July 1, 2009 – A construction project to replace a culvert on Iowa 3 west of Edgewood in Delaware County will cause the roadway to be detoured beginning Monday, July 6, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's (DOT) Manchester construction office.
Traffic will be detoured using Iowa 13, Delaware County Road C-64, 200th Avenue and Laser Road. The detour is expected to be in place for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
