Eastbound I-80 restricted today at exit 301 in Bettendorf for guardrail repair

DAVENPORT, Iowa – July 9, 2009 – One lane of eastbound Interstate 80 will be closed at the Middle Road exit (exit 301) in Bettendorf today, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's (DOT) Davenport maintenance office.

The lane closure is necessary to allow crews to repair a damaged guardrail. The maintenance work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m. today.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
