Road construction work on Iowa 150 causes lane restrictions in Fayette

NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – Aug. 31, 2009 – Bridge deck overlay work on an abandoned railroad crossing on Iowa 150 in Fayette will cause traffic to be restricted to a single lane until the first of October, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) New Hampton construction office.

 

Temporary traffic signals are in place on Iowa 150 to assist traffic through the work zone.

 

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
