On Monday, Oct. 12, the Commission and staff will tour transportation projects in the Quad Cities/Clinton area starting at 10 a.m. at the Isle Casino Hotel, 1777 Isle Parkway, in Bettendorf and ending around 3 p.m. back at the Isle Casino Hotel. The Commission and Iowa DOT staff will then hold an informal meeting at the hotel beginning at approximately 3:30 p.m. Transportation-related matters that may be discussed include:

· 2010 Highway Program balance report

· RISE projects

o     Polk County Local Development

o     Sioux City Immediate Opportunity

o     Mount Pleasant Local Development

o     Urbana Local Development

o     Le Mars Local Development

· State Recreational Trail Program recommendation

· Draft Rail System Plan comments

· Highway/Railroad Crossing Surface Repair Program recommendation

· Highway/Railroad Crossing Safety Program recommendation

· Projects for future planning – review data

· Review Iowa 141 corridor

 

While discussion on these matters may be held, no action will be taken at the workshop.
