Closures planned for northbound I-35 to eastbound U.S. 20 ramp and shoulder

 

DES MOINES, Iowa – Nov. 2, 2009 – The exit ramp from northbound Interstate 35 to eastbound U.S. 20 will be closed intermittently during the day Nov. 3 and 4, and the shoulder will be closed in the overnight hours those days, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Des Moines construction office.

When the ramp is closed, traffic will follow a marked detour.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
