Lane closed on I-74 Mississippi River bridge in Bettendorf tomorrow

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Nov. 16, 2009 – Bridge lighting repairs will close the southbound (Illinois-bound), right lane of the I-74 Mississippi River bridge in Bettendorf at exit 4 (Grant Street and U.S. 67/State Street) Tuesday, Nov. 17, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Davenport maintenance office. Brief delays can be expected.

The repair work is expected to begin at approximately 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. This includes the closure of the State Street ramp in Iowa.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the work zone, obey traffic control signing, reduce distractions, and wear seat belts.
