Proposed detour for Iowa 15 bridge approach replacement to be discussed Dec. 10 in Ringsted

AMES, Iowa – Nov. 19, 2009 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Dec.10, 2009, in Ringsted to discuss the detour proposed during replacement of the approaches to the Iowa 15 bridge over Black Cat Creek, 6.9 miles south of Iowa 9 in Emmet County. The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Club Room, 5 W. Maple St., Ringsted.

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. No formal presentation will be made. Iowa DOT staff members will be present with plans, displays and related information to discuss the projects informally.

Iowa 15 will be closed to through traffic during construction.
