I-74 westbound lane closure scheduled for Sunday in Bettendorf

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Feb. 5, 2010 – Maintenance work on westbound Interstate 74 Mississippi River bridge (Iowa bound) will cause the right lane to be closed from Illinois to exit 4 (U.S. 67/State Street and Grant) starting at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Davenport maintenance office.

 

The lane closure will also include the Riverdrive on-ramp in Illinois.

 

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
