Iowa Transportation Commission to hold public input meeting

AMES, Iowa – March 9, 2010 – The Iowa Transportation Commission will hold a public input meeting in Marshalltown Tuesday, April 13, to hear about transportation matters from representatives of local government, interest groups and individuals. Items that may be discussed at the meeting include the State Transportation Improvement Program; transportation policies; and highway, aviation, rail, river, and transit issues. A brief business meeting will begin at 8 a.m. with the public input meeting to immediately follow.

 

The public input meeting will be held at the Best Western Regency Inn, 3303 S. Center St., Marshalltown. Please include the time period you prefer and general topic you wish to discuss. The statements, presentations or suggestions should be 20 minutes or less.

 

On Monday, April 12, the commissioners will meet informally and tour transportation projects in central Iowa. No action will be taken on transportation-related matters during the tour.
