Minor flooding causes sporadic road closures in Iowa
AMES, Iowa – March 16, 2010 – Isolated road closures due to flooding continue in central and northern Iowa today, with more closures expected as rivers crest later this week. The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is currently reporting two roads closed due to water over the roadway.
· U.S. 69 is currently closed at Belmond. Traffic is being routed using Wright County roads C-25, C-20 (130th Street) and R-65.
· U.S. 169 is currently closed between U.S. 6 and Iowa 44 in the Adel area. Traffic is being rerouted using Dallas County roads F-60, P-58 and Iowa 44.
