Repairs to close southbound I-380 ramp to eastbound I-80 in Iowa City overnight tonight

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – March 11, 2010 – Overnight repairs will close the southbound Interstate 380 exit ramp to eastbound Interstate 80 (exit 0A) in Iowa City overnight tonight, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Cedar Rapids construction office.

 

The ramp is scheduled to be closed from 7 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Friday. Southbound I-380 traffic will be routed south on Iowa 27/U.S. 218 to exit 93 (Melrose Avenue) and then back north to I-80.

 

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
