Iowa DOT’s Cedar Rapids driver’s license station scheduled for temporary closing

AMES, Iowa – Sept. 1, 2010 - The Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) driver’s license station at 152 Collins Road NE in Cedar Rapids will be temporarily closed beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, and continuing until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21.

The purpose of the temporary closing is to reconfigure the business space to accommodate the new driver’s licensing process in which customers have their photos taken first, rather than at the end of the visit.
