Lane restrictions on northbound I-35 near Osceola begin Sept. 7

CHARITON, Iowa – Sept. 3, 2010 – Asphalt resurfacing work on the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 will cause traffic to be restricted to one lane between exit 33 (U.S. 34) near Osceola and exit 43 (Warren County Road G-76) six miles south of the Saint Charles area beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7 and continuing through this fall, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Chariton construction office.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
