Ramp/loop closures at I-380 and I-80 interchange in Johnson County begin Sept. 12
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Sept. 9, 2010 – Maintenance work to fill pavement cracks and joints will require closing the ramps/loops from southbound Interstate 380 to eastbound I-80 and eastbound I-80 to northbound I-380 from 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Cedar Rapids construction office.
Motorists should follow the marked detours during these closures.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations can more than double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
