Iowa DOT seeks bids for making emergency repairs to Iowa 333 #MoRiver

AMES, Iowa – Oct. 7, 2011 – The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to make emergency repairs to the Iowa 333 bridge approach and roadway from Interstate 29 east one mile. This section of highway was damaged during the Missouri River flooding. The project is located near Hamburg in Fremont County.

Bids are due Wednesday, Oct. 12 and will be opened at 11 a.m.  Interested contractors can receive complete details by visiting Bid Express or http://www.iowadot.gov/contracts/lettings.html. To obtain a bid proposal (bid order number 102), the plan and any other necessary bid documents, contact the Iowa DOT’s Office of Contracts at 515-239-1414.

Iowa 333 is currently closed to traffic. The contract completion date, prior to assessment of liquidated damages, is Nov. 4.
