Iowa Transportation Commission to meet March 13 in Ames

AMES, Iowa – March 9, 2012 – The Iowa Transportation Commission (Commission) will hold its next business meeting Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) headquarters’ Materials Conference Room at 800 Lincoln Way in Ames.

Informal workshop session
Also on Tuesday, March 13, the Commission will meet informally with staff from the Iowa DOT at 9:30 a.m. in the Materials Conference Room. The following transportation-related matters may be discussed, but no action will be taken during the meeting. Live streaming audio of the Iowa Transportation Commission’s workshop and business meeting will be available at http://iowadot.gov/commission/audio.html. The audio feed will be active 15 minutes prior to each session and discontinued immediately after adjournment.

This month, the Iowa DOT will also be testing an online meeting service in which the PowerPoint presentations shared with the Commission will be displayed online, the audio will be broadcast and the audio captioned for persons with disabilities. The test will be conducted during the business meeting only. The public is welcome is participate in the test.
