AMES, Iowa – April 26, 2012 – The Iowa Traffic Safety Alliance, a diverse partnership of highway safety practitioners in engineering, enforcement, education and emergency services, is facilitating Iowa’s ninth Motorcycle Safety Forum.
When: April 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Scheman Building, Iowa State Center, Ames (directions available at www.center.iastate.edu, select "Guest Information")
The forum brings together interested stakeholders, including the Iowa Motorcycle Rider Education Program, Iowa departments of Transportation and Public Safety, motorcycle enthusiasts, riders, dealers and associations.
This one-day, interactive forum will be highlighted by safety displays, rider training, vendor booths and other motorcycle-related exhibits. The theme for this year’s event is “All the Gear – All the Time.” The focus is on “conspicuity,” which means easily seen or noticed; readily visible or observable; and attracting special attention.
