Intermittent road closure of I-29 at Wesley Parkway in Sioux City begins Aug. 8
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Aug. 7, 2012 – Placement of bridge beams for construction of the new Wesley Parkway bridge over Interstate 29 near exit 148 in Sioux City will require closures in both directions of I-29 of up to 20 minutes after 8 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Aug. 8-10, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Sioux City construction office. Traffic will be returned to normal at 6 a.m. the following morning.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
