Proposed replacement of Iowa 141 bridge over Simmons Creek in Monona County to be discussed Sept. 13

AMES, Iowa – Sept. 4, 2012 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Sept. 13, to discuss the proposed bridge replacement on U.S. 141 over Simmons Creek in Monona County, 0.8 mile west of the west junction of Iowa 175. The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Mapleton City Hall, 513 Main St. 

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed bridge replacement. No formal presentation will be made.
