Iowa Transportation Commission to meet Oct. 8 and 9 in Okoboji

AMES, Iowa – Oct. 5, 2012 – The Iowa Transportation Commission will hold its next business meeting Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Pearson Lakes Art Center, 2201 Highway 71 N in Okoboji. Following the business meeting, the Commission will host a public input meeting at the same location. Four such meetings are held around the state each year.

On Monday, Oct. 8, the Commission will meet informally during a workshop session and participate in a tour.

Transportation tour – Monday, Oct. 8
The Commission and Iowa Department of Transportation staff will tour transportation projects in northwest Iowa on Monday, starting at 10 a.m. at the Iowa DOT maintenance facility, 2770 Norridge Ave., Rockwell City, and ending around 3 p.m. at the Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center, 1405 Highway 71 N, Okoboji.

Informal workshop session – Monday, Oct. 8
The Commission will meet informally with Iowa DOT staff starting at 3:30 p.m. at the conference center in Okoboji. The following transportation-related matters may be discussed, but no action will be taken during the workshop.
