Polk County area driver’s licenses stations to be closed temporarily

AMES, Iowa – Oct. 16, 2012 - The Iowa Department of Transportation is announcing that the driver’s license stations in Ankeny and Des Moines will be closed temporarily on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. These stations will resume normal business hours starting at 12:30 p.m. that day and remain open until 5 p.m. The facilities will be closed briefly to accommodate staff training.

Persons who need driver’s license services during this brief closure period, may visit any of the other driver’s license issuance locations in the state that are open that day. It was previously announced that the Ottumwa and Burlington sites would be closed during this same time for training.
