Proposed U.S. 30 bypass of Mount Vernon/Lisbon to be discussed Oct. 30

AMES, Iowa – Oct. 18, 2012 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing Tuesday, Oct. 30, to discuss the proposed improvement of U.S. 30 and the completed environmental assessment  for the Mount Vernon/Lisbon bypass from west of Wilcox Road in Linn County to Charles Avenue in Cedar County.

The public is invited to attend the hearing anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Lisbon Community School Cafeteria, 235 W. School St.  

The hearing will be conducted utilizing a combined open forum and formal format.  Iowa DOT staff will be available to discuss the project informally between 5 and 6 p.m.  A formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session.
