Proposed reconstruction of U.S. 63 in Waterloo to be discussed Nov. 15

AMES, Iowa – Nov. 1, 2012 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, Nov. 15, to discuss the proposed reconstruction of U.S. 63 from Newell/Conger Street north to Donald Street in Waterloo. The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 207 W. Louise St. in Waterloo. 

This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvement. No formal presentation will be made.  

U.S. 63 would remain open to traffic during construction except for short-term closures during placement of utility crossings.
