Iowa Transportation Commission Approves Grant for Pleasant Hill

AMES, Iowa – May 14, 2013 – Today, the Iowa Transportation Commission approved a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) grant application submitted by Pleasant Hill. Up to $983,213 will be made available to assist in construction of a right-turn lane on Iowa 163, approximately 1,215 feet of Northeast 75th Street, and approximately 1,340 feet of new roadway west of proposed Northeast 75th Street located on the northeast side of town. This project is anticipated to be completed by November 2013. 

This project is necessary to provide access to four lots totaling more than 64 acres for industrial, manufacturing, warehouse distribution and professional office purposes. 

Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE Fund.
