AMES, Iowa – May 9, 2013 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Thursday, May 23, to discuss the proposed resurfacing research project on Iowa 93 from Sumner east to Fayette in Fayette County.
The public is invited to attend the meeting anytime between 5:30 and 7 p.m. at the Sumner Public Library, 206 N. Railroad St.
This public information meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvement. No formal presentation will be made.
This proposed research project consists of placing several thin–lift, hot-mix asphalt resurfacing sections over various base treatments. Through traffic on Iowa 93 would be detoured during construction using Fayette County roads V-68, C-33 and W-14.
