Proposed improvements along Iowa 316 in Polk County to be discussed Oct. 8
AMES, Iowa – Sept. 26, 2013 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Oct. 8, to discuss the proposed bridge deck replacement on Iowa 316 over the Des Moines River, 3.9 miles north of Iowa 5 in Polk County.
All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. at the Runnells Community Center, 108 Brown St. in Runnells. The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made.
Traffic would be detoured during construction using 112th Street, Iowa 5, U.S. 65, and Iowa 163.
