I-35 traffic to be detoured for bridge construction at the Warren County Road G-14 interchange near Cumming Nov. 7 #iatraffic

October 31, 2013

CHARITON, Iowa – Oct. 31, 2013 – North- and southbound lanes of Interstate 35 will be closed at exit 65, near Cumming, to allow bridge construction crews to set beams on the bridge carrying Warren County Road G-14 over I-35 Thursday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. until the beams are placed later that day, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Chariton construction office.

I-35 traffic will be routed around the road closure using the entrance and exit ramps at exit 65. Flaggers will be used to assist traffic through the area.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
