Iowa Transportation Commission to meet at Honey Creek Resort and State Park at Rathbun Lake April 7 and 8

AMES, Iowa – April 4, 2014 – The Iowa Transportation Commission will hold its next business and public input meetings Tuesday, April 8, at the Honey Creek Resort and State Park, 12633 Resort Drive, Moravia. The day before, the Commission will tour transportation projects in southern Iowa and conduct an informal workshop session at the Honey Creek Resort.

Monday, April 7

Transportation tour

The Commission and Iowa Department of Transportation staff will tour transportation projects in southern Iowa starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Honey Creek Resort and State Park near Moravia and ending around 3 p.m. back at Honey Creek. Transportation-related matters may be discussed, but no action will be taken on the tour.

Informal workshop session

The Commission will meet with staff from the Iowa DOT beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Honey Creek. The following transportation-related matters may be discussed, but no action will be taken during the meeting. The items are listed in no particular order and may be discussed at any point during the workshop.
