Iowa Transportation Commission to meet in Cedar Rapids Aug. 12

AMES, Iowa – Aug. 7, 2014 – The Iowa Transportation Commission will hold its next business meeting Tuesday, Aug. 12, in Room Taft A at the DoubleTree by Hilton™ Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex, 350 First Ave. NE, in Cedar Rapids. On the day before the meeting, the Commission will tour transportation projects in east central Iowa and conduct an informal workshop session at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex.

Transportation tour
The Commission and Iowa Department of Transportation staff will tour transportation projects in east central Iowa starting at 9:30 a.m. from the Iowa DOT’s maintenance garage in Tama and ending around 3 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex. Transportation-related matters may be discussed, but no action will be taken on the tour. 

Informal workshop session
The Commission will meet informally with staff from the Iowa DOT beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex. The following transportation-related matters may be discussed, but no action will be taken during the meeting. The items are listed in no particular order and may be discussed at any point during the workshop.
