DAVENPORT, Iowa – May 8, 2017 – Structural concrete repair work on overhead bridges over Interstate 80 in Davenport will require closing roads over the roadway beginning Monday, May 15, until mid-June 2017, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Davenport construction office.
Digital message signs for each bridge will let motorists know ahead of time and during construction that the road is closed. Additionally, detour signs will be placed on Maysville Road/Scott County Road Y-48 and Wisconsin Avenue. Motorists may experience travel delays and should allow additional time to reach their destination. The specific locations and scheduled closures for this project are listed below.
Utica Ridge Road: The road will be closed beginning Monday, May 15, until Tuesday, May 30.
North Division Street: The road will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 16, until Tuesday, May 30.

As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
