About the Project

Project Description

Discuss the proposed improvements and right of way needs along U.S. 151 from south of Church Street in Fairfax to south of Dean Road Southwest in Cedar Rapids. The projects concentrate on the replacement of four U.S. 151 bridges over the Union Pacific Railroad’s property, Prairie Creek, drainage ditch 2.5 miles south of U.S. 30, and the drainage ditch 0.6 mile south of U.S. 30. At some locations, the roadway approaching the structures will be reconstructed to include three lanes.

During construction, through traffic will be detoured out of the corridor while providing local access to properties, businesses, and the city of Fairfax.
