About the Project

Project Description

Discuss the proposed improvements to U.S. 63 from River Road/Wapello County Road J-12 to U.S. 34 in Ottumwa. The proposed project provides for the grading and paving of a new four-lane divided highway within the project limits. The existing bridge over a drainage ditch will be replaced with a new bridge, and the existing bridge over a bike trail will be replaced with a reinforced box culvert. The current connection of Rabbit Run Road to U.S. 63 will be relocated to the south approximately 1,500 feet.

Traffic will be detoured during construction using Vine Street and Madison Avenue.
