Contractors to remove one of the final pieces of the old I-74 bridge on Sunday

QUAD CITIES, Feb. 13, 2024 – The Iowa Department of Transportation plans to use controlled explosives during the removal of the Moline anchorage, one of the final pieces of the old I-74 bridge that spanned the Mississippi River between Bettendorf, Iowa, and Moline, Illinois.
