Iowa Transportation Commission approves grant for the city of Pleasantville
AMES, Iowa – The Iowa Transportation Commission today approved a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) Immediate Opportunity grant application submitted by the city of Pleasantville. Up to $240,000 will be made available to assist with the reconstruction of Jasper Street/County Road G-40 from Old Highway 5 east approximately 1,500 feet. Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE fund.
The improvements are necessary to provide access to a proposed Red Rock Renewables LLC ethanol plant on the east side of Pleasantville. The roadway project will support the creation of 40 new jobs at Red Rock Renewables LLC and $190,481,230 in associated capital investment.
