Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) application – city of Huxley - The Commission approved the reclassification of a previous RISE Immediate Opportunity grant application submitted by the city of Huxley to assist in the grading and paving of 1,300 feet of new roadway beginning 950 feet east of 560 th Street. The city of Huxley requested the RISE application be reevaluated under the RISE Local Development criteria. The Commission approved this reclassification and updated the RISE grant amount to $235,000 or up to 50 percent of the total RISE eligible project cost, whichever is less. Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE fund.

RISE application – city of Pleasantville - The Commission approved a RISE Immediate Opportunity grant application submitted by the city of Pleasantville . Up to $240,000 will be made available to assist with the reconstruction of Jasper Street/County Road G-40 from Old Highway 5 east approximately 1,500 feet. Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE fund. The improvements are necessary to provide access to a proposed Red Rock Renewables LLC ethanol plant on the east side of Pleasantville. The roadway project will support the creation of 40 new jobs at Red Rock Renewables LLC and $190,481,230 in associated capital investment.

Transfers of Jurisdiction – segments of U.S. 61 to Lee County and the city of Fort Madison – The Commission approved transfer t o Lee County of a 2.55-mile segment of existing U.S. 61 from the north corporate limits of Fort Madison north to milepost 27.10 and transfers to the city of Fort Madison of an approximate .55-mile segment of existing U.S. 61 from the intersection of H Avenue/Iowa 2/U.S. 61 north to the city's north corporate limit. The transfers will take place upon the DOT's completion of the rehabilitation work necessary to place the roadway in a good state of repair, opening of the U.S. 61 Fort Madison bypass, and notification by the state to the county and city of the time and date of the official transfer.
