Brush-clearing project now in progress along I-80

DAVENPORT, Iowa – A project to remove dead trees along Interstate 80 in Iowa, Johnson, Cedar, and Scott counties has begun, according to Iowa Department of Transportation.
Motorists may witness workers on the shoulders, and are urged to remain alert and use caution when traveling through these interstate areas.
Vieth Construction Corporation of Cedar Falls, was awarded the $22,574 contract. Work is scheduled for completion in May 2008.
