I-380 patching to begin Tuesday night
MANCHESTER, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Transportation's Manchester construction office has approved a major patching and resurfacing project on Interstate 380 to begin Tuesday night, April 1.
The project will extend on I-380 from I-80 to 33rd Ave. in Cedar Rapids and is expected to continue throughout the summer.
Traffic will be intermittently restricted to one lane in either direction throughout the entire project area during overnight hours under the following schedule:
- 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday evenings through Friday mornings
- 8 p.m. Friday evenings to 11 a.m. Saturdays
- 7 p.m. Saturday evenings to noon on Sundays
Traffic is not scheduled to be restricted during non-work hours.
In addition, the roadwork will require individual ramp closures at the I-80 and U.S. 30 interchanges when patching is being done on the ramps . Traffic intending to use the ramps will be routed to the next interchange using detour signs.
The prime contractor for the $15.4 million project is L. L. Pelling Co., of North Liberty.
