DOT sets detours around the Parkersburg area
MASON CITY, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Transportation's District 2 Office in Mason City has set formal detours for the state roadways into Parkersburg. Only local traffic is being allowed into the town of Parkersburg at this time. Through traffic should use the following detour routes. Southbound Iowa 14 is detoured at Butler County Road C-51, west to Butler County Road T-25, south to Iowa 57, east to Butler County Road T-25, south to Grundy County Road D-17, then east back to Iowa 14. Northbound Iowa 14 traffic will follow the reverse route. Eastbound Iowa 57 traffic is detoured east to Butler County Road T-25, south to Grundy County Road D-17, east to Iowa 14, north to D17, east to Grundy County Road T-55, then north to Iowa 57. Westbound traffic will use the reverse route. All roads into Parkersburg will remain detoured to all but local traffic until debris from the weekend storms has been cleared from the roadway and temporary road signs can be erected.
