Southbound Iowa 13/U.S. 151 lanes restricted beginning Monday

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – July 31, 2008 – Work will begin Monday morning, Aug. 4, on a new turn-lane on Iowa 13/U.S. 151 in Linn County north of the Mount Vernon Road intersection.
The outside southbound lane will be closed to traffic to allow room for workers to grade and pave a new right turn lane to Vernon Valley Drive. Traffic will be directed to the inside southbound lane.
The closure will be in effect for approximately three weeks. Borst Brothers Construction is the contractor for the project.
In all work zones, obey posted speed limits, allow ample space between vehicles and eliminate distractions.
