Posted on: July 31, 2008
MANCHESTER, Iowa – July 31, 2008 – Patching work on U.S. 30 from Morgan Creek east to the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids has started, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Manchester construction office.
The project requires reducing traffic to one lane in each through the work areas during the hours from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Sunday evenings to Friday mornings. The roadway will be returned to full use when workers are not present.
Cedar Falls Construction is the prime contractor for the $233,772 project, which is expected to continue through August.
In all work zones, obey posted speed limits, allow ample space between vehicles and eliminate distractions.
