Iowa 14 in Lucas and Marion counties down to one lane tomorrow and next week

CHARITON, Iowa – Aug. 27, 2008 – Iowa 14 in from just north of U.S. 34 in Lucas County to Marion County Road G-76 will be reduced to one lane for road construction tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 28 and Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 2 to Sept. 5, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Chariton construction office.
The roadwork will reduce the roadway to one lane with traffic assisted by flaggers and a pilot car in the work zone. Traffic will be returned to normal when workers are not present.
Use caution when driving through any work zone. Allow ample space between vehicles, obey all flagger instructions and posted signs. Reduce distractions such as cell phones.
