Lane restrictions on U.S. 71 in Audubon County due to road construction

CRESTON, Iowa – Aug. 29, 2008 – Road construction work on U.S. 71 in Audubon County will restrict traffic to one north- and southbound lane between the Audubon County line and Interstate 80 until Oct. 1, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 4 maintenance office.
A 14-foot lane width limit is in place.
The Iowa DOT asks motorists to drive with caution and obey posted signs in the work area. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, obey posted speed limits, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
