DOT to paint U.S. 6 lines in Atlantic beginning Oct. 1

ATLANTIC, Iowa – Sept. 29, 2008 – The Department of Transportation’s District 4 paint crew is planning to paint the center turn lane striping on U.S. 6 (7th Street) in Atlantic starting Wednesdya, Oct. 1, 2008.
The crew will paint the striping through Atlantic in two block increments, so some intersecting streets will not be available for short periods of time.
Traffic will be maintained while the work is being done, but motorist will need to be cautious when approaching the work area.
