Iowa 3 work set to begin Monday in Waverly
NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – Sept. 24, 2008 – Beginning Monday, Sept. 29, construction work is scheduled to begin on Iowa 3 at the intersection with 10th Avenue Southwest in Waverly, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) New Hampton construction office.
Work associated with this project will include adding an offset right turn lane for eastbound Iowa 3 traffic onto 10th Avenue Southwest and storm sewer replacement. Traffic will be maintained on both Iowa 3 and 10th Avenue Southwest at all times. This project is expected to be completed by late October.
The Iowa DOT asks motorists to drive with caution and obey posted signs in the work area. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, obey posted speed limits, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
