Reminder of Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge opening Sept. 28


ATLANTIC, Iowa – Sept. 26, 2008 – The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian bridge opening is set for Sunday, Sept. 28 at the old Playland Park area in Council Bluffs. Motorists coming to the area can follow these suggested routes.

·        Motorists travelling on Interstate 29 from the north should use the Avenue G exit, then Avenue G to 40th St.  40th Street wraps around the south end of Playland Park. (marked in red on map)

·        Motorists travelling on I-29 from the south should use the 9th Avenue exit to Service Road B, Service Road B to 2nd Avenue, 2nd Avenue to Dodge Riverside Drive.  Turn right, under the I-480/I-29 overpass.  The park is directly to the north.   (marked in green on map)

·         Motorists travelling on I-480 from Nebraska should use the Dodge Park Exit.  Turn left at the end of the exit and go under overpass.  Bridge is immediately to the north of the exit. (marked in blue on map)

·         Motorists travelling west on U.S. 6 should take S. 35th Street to 2nd Avenue and follow 2nd Avenue to Dodge Riverside Drive. Turn right, under the I-480/I-29 overpass.  The park is directly to the north. (marked in purple on map)
