MANCHESTER, Iowa – Sept. 29, 2008 – Sections of the Interstate 380/Interstate 80 interchange in Coralville are scheduled to be closed tonight and tomorrow night, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Manchester construction office.

The southbound I-380 to eastbound I-80 loop and the eastbound I-80 to northbound I-380 loops are scheduled to be closed from tonight at 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning for milling and resurfacing. This schedule will repeat Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Traffic on I-380 will be detoured to the Melrose Avenue interchange and I-80 traffic will be detoured to the Iowa 965 interchange. This work, which is part of the I-380 resurfacing project between Coralville and Cedar Rapids, is expected to be completed in two nights.

The Iowa DOT asks motorists to drive with caution and obey posted signs in the work area. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, obey posted speed limits, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
