MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Oct. 30, 2008 – Westbound U.S. 20 in Hardin and Hamilton counties will be reduced to one lane for road construction beginning Monday, Nov. 3, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Marshalltown construction office.

The project is scheduled to begin at the U.S. 20 interchange with Interstate 35 and proceed to the U.S. 20 interchange with U.S. 65. The project is expected to last until late November, weather permitting.

The Iowa DOT asks motorists to drive with caution and obey posted signs in the work area. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, obey flagger instructions and posted speed limits, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
